This 25-piece Elder Futhark Rune Set was handcrafted out of maple wood, engraved, and then painted inside the grooves with black paint to emphasize the specific rune. Each piece averages 1”x1.5in.
The Elder Futhark Rune Set contains all three Aetts:
Freya’s, Heimdall’s, & Tyr’s.
Each Aett contains the standard 8-specific runes.
Freya’s:
Fehu, Uruz, Thurisaz, Ansuz, Raidho, Kenaz, Gebo, Wunjo)
Heimdall’s:
Hagalaz, Nauthiz, Isa, Jera, Eihwax, Perthro, Algiz, Sowilo, Tiwaz
Tyr’s:
Berkano, Ehwaz, Mannaz, Laguz, Ingwaz, Dagaz, Othala
Since approximately 400 B.C., these runes have held special meaning and symbolism. Additionally, this set also includes the optional / more modern blank rune “Wyrd” (pronounced ‘weird’ meaning: Fate) for additional casting.
Each piece was uniquely handcrafted by the Ray Family.
